Call for Expressions of Interest

We’re inviting educators, knowledge holders, practitioners, and school leaders to share their work, experience, and perspectives at the 

National First Nations Education Conference 2026.

This one-day gathering is about cultural knowledge, respectful practice, and real classroom and school community impact. If you have insight, practice, or experience that could support others in this space, we’d love to hear from you.

Workshops and/or Key Notes will need to be 45 minutes in duration and align with one of the 3 Conference Streams.

• centre First Nations ways of knowing, being, and doing
• share stories or activities grounded in Country and community
• explore culturally safe educational practice
   

• share practical classroom strategies
• demonstrate whole school approaches to embedding perspectives
• explore curriculum or pedagogy from a First Nations lens
   

• reflect on truth telling and culturally responsive leadership
• explore school-wide practice change
• share ways to walk respectfully with community
